Re: Mass markets

There's no question that many of the markets WIND is addressing have mass-market potential. The key is whether as unit volumes skyrocket WIND can prevent unit royalties from diminishing to the point where aggregate revenue/profit from these markets grows only modestly. MSFT avoided this trap because their product was directly visible to the consumer who paid for it. While the end-user numbers may be huge, the fact remains that the potential number of direct buyers of WIND's products (embedded device manufacturers) remains relatively small and they will negotiate hard to keep those unit royalties to a bare minimum.
