Yep. It was heavy handed and unnecessary. The tax fight was already won. Vermonters are different. They like the "maverick" Republican image Jeffords has cultivated. One of their Reps., Bernie Sanders, a former Mayor of Burlington, is an avowed socialist. This one was just plain booted.....

Is converting Miller a real possibility?? Even so, if he ran as a Dem. he ought to stay a Dem until the next election. Same goes for Jeffords but I don't see any legal way to stop the change.
