By the way the BeOS is free for download. I installed it on one of my computers last night to test and get a feel for it in case it is the chosen OS. It has some limitations on what hardware it can work with, but MSU can easily deal with that I think. I had to install it on 2 machines to get it to work because out of the box it won't read my 66 MHz hard drives. I noticed a driver on their site and will probably try that tonight if I have time.

On the machine that I got it to work, it surfs the web fine using my cable modem. I will be continuing to test it to make a judgement on the ease of use of the interface and the OS stability. It has no noticeable negative effect on my WIN98 environment.. it shouldn't since it reboots the machine to take control. Then you reboot to get back to MS WIN. You may want to try it yourselves: beos.com
