Bill- I just posted to you, then responded a second time to the same message, only to find that my second response replaced the first... I am using a friend's WebTV (it's the TC2000 of web browsers) so I can't cut and paste my old message here. It was mostly babble anyway. What I said mostly is that I agreed with you, and am tempted to go into puts again, but the past couple of times I was wrong (why should I be right this time) and Bernie also has a couple of rules agains the type of trade you're going to make. My second note began here: Regarding your question, whether to get in before or after expiration... Get in half before, half after. Or get in 1/3 before, 1/3 after, and hold the last 1/3 to see what happens... if you're right, put the last 1/3 on the table as well. -Mike P.S. Are you looking at In the money OEX options or out of the money... (or at the money). If I were going to play, I'd go in the money... more expensive, but I would only want to break so many of B's rules at once :-). P.P.S. Can you e-mail me the Value Line Raff-Channel chart that you mentioned to Michael Rich? Does it show the previous places that it has gotten this close to the upper band of the Channel?
