I can remember when US politicians were expected to show statesmanship on serious matters even if they horse traded in smoke-filled back rooms most of the time. Can you really? I'm trying to remember back then, and I don't really remember that time. All the Kings Men was written before your political memories could have been formed, and I can't see that things have gotten any better since then.
