He warned, the company would have to wait three years for 3G to make matching profits to I-Mode as consumers are not convinced unless we can get full 3G coverage in Japan. He said 3G roll-out is a complex task which can only be gradually roll-out to provide a very smooth transition to 3G network, consequently consumers have to wait. He assured the press the technology has high potential in Japan where wireless is a big culture as can be seem with I-mode and 3G does not need any killer applications. << - Eric -
