Yaacov, have you ever ate kebab in Athens?? ""
Joe, If your are considering suicide, self stangolation would be a better option! ggg Eating Kebab in Greece is a very risky affair! Do you know who are these streets Kebab venodrs and how they live in Athens?
The conditon of Athens lower-class neighborhoods is notorious for its appalling squalor overcrowdings! Its filthy streets are lined with dialpidated houses and were to to three families live to a room. It is like a nightmare form Dickensian England! There are rag gatherers, bone-grubbers, rat catchers, and pure finders ( they make a lving by collecting alkiline-rich dog dropping and selling it to tanneries!) Here most Kebab vendors live! Mostly come from banks of Aliakmon River, also know as Vedari! They live at night, in stuffy, windowless rooms with other poor coughing, snoring sneezing vendors! They are grown used to lice and fleas! They scratches themselves continously and have rashes all over! They never thinks of taking a bath, there is no soap or running water! There is probably only one toilet facility in the whole building,(Greeks tolilets are usually built outside of the houses) and no water, so his hands are unwashed and colthing contaminated. The water they drinks is crawling with cholera!
In early morning hours, they go to work! They use greasy cleaver and works behind a wooden dirty plunk, chopping a quarter of bloody but still moving goat!............. Shall I go on! Pleae don't eat Donner Kebab in the streets of in Athen! |
