Can't find any news. Why the increase in volume?

This stocks failed to break above the 100 EMA and the 50 day EMA did not provide support. This would normally be trouble for a stock, but the low float and daily volume indicates something is up.

P/S = 0.30
P/B = 0.52

OSI Systems Repurchases Approximately 9.5 Percent of Outstanding Shares Since March 1999

HAWTHORNE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2001--OSI Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:OSIS - news), today announced that it has repurchased 935,500 shares of its outstanding Common Stock to date in open market transactions under the share repurchase program authorized by the company's board of directors in March 1999.

Including the effect of these share repurchases, OSI Systems currently has approximately 8.9 million shares outstanding.

Of the 935,500 shares, 770,500 were purchased between March 1999 and December 2000 at an average purchase price of approximately $4.68 per share. 165,000 additional shares have been purchased to date in the current 2001 calendar year at an average price of approximately $4.21 per share.
