how this impacts its applicability vis-a-vis competition with mobile wireless. The so-called competition is created in the mind of those ML artists and pcstell. As I said so many times, WLAN is a way for the coorperate users to replace the wires for their own convenience, it's not designed to deal with complex mobility, and it is certainly not designed to give you and me free and robust internet access. Like I said in one of my posts, every step toward the edge your data speed will drop off significantly. Someone even said that standing up from his sofa to his counter top will change his speed from 6Mbps to nothing.
