WRONG: Hebrew was entirely re-invented from scratch (just ask Yaacov <g> or better: renowned Jewish linguist Claude Hagège) about 100 years ago (?) For that matter, Theodor Herzl initially suggested that GERMAN should be the official language of Israel... Then others suggested that Yiddish might fit the bill. Anyway, Hebrew, just like Latin, was a dead language that, even today, conceals a few "glitches" --for instance, the "law of gravitation" translates as "torah of gravitation", that is, a sacred word as "torah" is also employed to express a "mundane concept"....
