Hi Sun Tzu; At most companies, there are a lot more people willing to give an opinion as to why a decision was made than there are who actually know the details.

But there is another interpretation. Maybe 3dfx lost their business to Nvidia because Nvidia found a use for all that bandwidth, and 3dfx didn't.
