I don't know what the exact definition of "cure" is but they are going for "disease modification" labelling in the second half of their current pivotal trial if all goes well. There are a number of completed trials that indicate that the drug improves both the memory and behavior of the patients. They don't have all the dosage questions resolved and the long term and short term effects and so on but the drug does have a safe profile and some remarkable results. The mechanism of action isn't completely known yet and there is a lot to learn. The other applications for the drug are also very promising.

The drug isn't the problem. The problem is everything else.
