All those structures are superficial and arose because the production of gold was seriously threatened by the unusual form of deflation we've seen for 20 years. Circumstances of deflation can be highly destructive to overly leveraged mines. The CBs therefore provided the means to keep the mines open, because in the final analysis it is they who have the biggest interest in maintaining a regular supply of gold. It was their efforts that saved many mining companies. This is completely contrary to what is believed by the 'Bugs.

Material forces are developing which transcend the superficialities of the maintenance structures, so gold could become dynamic given the shut-in nature of supply and a growing speculative demand. The latter could cause the maintenance structure to evaporate completely. Maybe the short circuit scenario hasn't changed, but I sense that it is now in transition to something else.
