Wouldn't call the government's coffers just a 100 lb gorilla when you're able to access funds from failed trusts for your election campaigns. Believe both Bush and Clinton was able to take advantage with respect to their real estate endeavors in the 80s. In any event, they should have a requirement for politicians to have some private sector experience first, preferably in areas where there's some business risk involved.

My prediction that Bush's term might resemble Clinton's first term appears to be coming true.
