Hi Mitch.
I'm interested in where you see a denial of Davidic descendence? The question He asks simply points out that while messiah is a descendent of David, yet, David calls him, (under inspiration of the Spirit) Lord. The assumption of the questioners was that "The Son of David", a common messianic term, was merely a human being. Jesus uses a common teaching tool, of asking a question and letting the students come to their conclusions for themselves, to point out that messiah was to be more than human. An indirect yet clear claim to His deity.

As far as The Law is concerned. I believe that my position is the clear teaching of the entire new testament, and is clearly implied in the sacrificial system of the Old. So, yes I believe it.

Greg
