today announced that its Ricochet(R) 128 kbps mobile access is
enabling WindowsMedia.com Mobile, a new wireless digital media guide
made available yesterday from Microsoft Corp. The rich media content
portal is based on Microsoft Windows Media Technology and can be
accessed wirelessly using a Ricochet high-speed modem in conjunction
with any handheld computing device running the Pocket PC operating
system and the new Windows Media Player 7.1 for Pocket PC.
Metricom and Microsoft are working together to realize the goal of

relationship allows mobile Pocket PC users the ability to enjoy rich
media content by combining Ricochet, the only high-speed wireless
