Just got home to see the discussion about Kim's thread. I have to admit I have a hard time harboring any ill will since I did get started short term trading on her thread. Those were mighty heady days, and I soon learned that if the right person put out a call, you just bought as quickly as possible and cashed out quickly. But I do look back on those days fondly. I used to post at least a dozen times a day back then, and still feel at home when I get a chance to visit here and see some of the "old" names. It's true her calls seemed to get pretty thin towards the end and I stopped playing them at all, but when she stopped posting, a bunch of us stayed around on that and other threads and we did quite well until the end of March when the bubble started to crumble. Even then, based on what I had learned in the previous 6 months I was able to keep my head above water for a few more months when I finally had to throw in the towel and return to a dreaded "regular job". It may sound corny, and I know a lot of you on this thread may not remember me, but I look back at starting on the Kimberly thread, and the ensuing months, as one of the most adventurous times of my life. Damn it was fun for awhile. Sitting in my den with one eye on the puter, and one on CNBC. Always liked the days when I made a killing early the most. As for Jenna's "Market Gems". FWIW, I did subscribe for awhile but never seemed to make any money off of it and soon gave it up. But it seemed some people did quite well so I have no negative vibes about her either. This post has gone on much too long, but it's still fun to read and post when I get a chance. I think there's a lot of us who'll be addicted to these boards for the rest of our lives.
