I hope you're right. However, one of the disciplines I've been trying to adhere to in the wake of the past year's tech slide is to remove 'hope' from my investor's toolkit.

While I continue to believe that EXLN is laboring in a promising field, the fact is that this company has been plagued by too many changes of direction over the past few years and this is yet another one. CBIS may be a fine company but it appears that two weak companies are getting together out of necessity rather than anything else. Even if everything goes smoothly it will be several months before this merger is completed during which time capital invested in EXLN-CBIS will be unavailable for other purposes. I offer no prognosis for EXLN-CBIS, it's just my judgement that I can find a better return elsewhere over the next few months.
