I think one point worth noting about this merger is that people on the Yahoo thread got very aggressive at anyone who suggested that EXLN's cash burn was heading into dangerous waters. I think it's fairly clear that this merger was partly motivated by that consideration.

Another point worth considering is that another few million dollars will be burned up in investment banking fees and re-branding.

I suppose it's on the cards that the investment bankers will get another few mil sometime soon to spin-off Object Design and start the game again at much the same point where it started 5 years ago.
