Berney,

I truly just try to stick to my short-term technicals, and at times it is hard in light of market sentiment and other issues, since my signals are often contrary to the immediate trend. My short-term technicals has a fairly good performance record on a statistical basis, so I just stick to them and in no way do I believe that they will work all the time - but again it is tough at times to stick to them when market sentiment is in the opposite direction of my signals. As for market sentiment, I try to not listen to them too much anymore and in fact I really dont read the threads that much or post and I have started reducing the amount of time I tune into CNBC and starting to watch cartoons. ggggggg Until my system starts dropping in performance, I will continue to firmly/mainly just rely on my short-term technicals. Of course Im not going to ignore FOMC meetings/important announcements.
