Deformable mirrors are tiny mirrors produced on silicon wafers using processing techniques similar to ones that are used to produce integrated circuits. Electrical signals control how the mirrors reflect light. By magnifying the image and projeting it, a crisp moving picture is created. TI now calls this DLP for Digital Light Processing as it sounds closer to DSP, their main line of business. HDD stands for hard disk drive.
