In a unique twist on a valuation model, Ladenburg said it values genomics companies by the level of their research and development spending - the more they spend, the more they're worth. When using this metric, Genome is "substantially undervalued," according to Ladenburg.

Absolutely, f*cking brilliant! The more cash we burn (doesn't matter WHO is doing the research, and if they're cost-efficient, so much the worse), the better! It's not our money anyway, it is (was) yours!
