Well, there is nothing you say that I can disagree with, except to note that the lines between earnestness and fanaticism may be disputable, and that the populist note in politics is hard to avoid. I like to see the ball moved forward, but I am not the type to do it "on the hustings", so I try not to judge too harshly those better suited to that life.

Not having noticed the business about Armey, I am befuddled to make out his point.......
