Let's look at this "gold sales for flood relief" worst case. There are 17,000 flood victims reported in Siberia. Let's assume this a $100 million dollar effort (remember this is Siberia, not Missouri so I'd say that's high). That's about 6K per victim. At 280 POG that's 350,000 oz of gold sales or 10 tonnes. Whoop de doo.
