I made a good trade. I hauled two trailers of old bedding and manure to my neighbor. This year I have a steady supply of the juiciest, sweetest strawberries I've ever sank a tooth into.

I think American farm products aren't being used to their fullest. If there needs to be a subsidy then use it for ethanol plants. Corn would be above the loan rate, we would use less oil and the air would be purer and we could forget cancer causing MTBE. 10% ethanol added to gas cuts pollution 80%. Most new cars can run well on 85% ethanol.

Let farmers grow hemp for the fiber. Fix grain elevators so they can handle canola. Find more ways for soy oil to replace petroleum.
