14:09 ET Hewlett-Packard (HWP) 29.67 +0.09 (0.3%): -- Update -- Technical -- Holding a positive bias but still confined to the same week long trading range between its 50 day simple ma on the downside and its 100 day on the upside (29.3 and 31, respectively today). If penetration of the lower boundary is seen, support near 28/27.5 is expected to hold. Further out, pattern and indicators are favorable with a bull breakout targeting the April high and the 200 wk moving average at 34.




13:51 ET Nortel Networks (NT) 14.53 -0.70: -- Update -- Light Reading website reporting that Dell'Oro study shows Nortel's share of the optical transport market fell to 29% in Q1 from 52% in the prior quarter. Says that Lucent (LU) share rose off of low level and Ciena (CIEN) also gained.




13:48 ET Daktronics, Inc. (DAKT) 29.24 +0.03 (+0.1%): Board of directors approves a 2-for-1 stock split for shareholders of record as of the June 11 close. DAKT will begin trading on split adjusted basis on June 25.
