>It should scare every one because it allows for nothing to be absolutely wrong. Therefore pedophilia, child sacrifice, murder, slavery, genocide, and even the ultimate, schoolyard bullying, are not in and of themselves wrong.
Greg, as long as X doesn't do any of those things and doesn't encourage others to do those things, and we know from her posts that she doesn't, why should society care whether she thinks they're absolutely wrong or whether she simply thinks they're wrong for her. The net effect is the same. I'll bet that if you were to encounter her in 3D and not know her expressed philosophy, you wouldn't be able to tell that she doesn't think those things are absolutely wrong. What possible difference does it make to society why she doesn't molest children as long as she doesn't?
It also assumes, against all reason that God does not exist. Any society that starts there will end in tyranny, either that of a dictator, or that of 50% plus one.
Yes, it assumes that God does not exist. I don't think it can be demonstrated that the non-existence of God leads inevitably to tyranny. Perhaps some relationship, but inevitable cause and effect? No way.
