This is the translation from the post on SI. The last link on the post.

While the laboratory UTOPIA left the tiled industrious labyrinth - rouge-jaune-bleu of it
fabulous urban hole realized in the building of Watson and Foster and maintaining that the
jet of the sandblasting erased our tracks by letting fall again its dust on quite new floors,
the members of the collective Dust with flour Orphan wish to thank you for your essential
participation during the setting up of this singular experiment. Although the route(course)
leading us to the final presentation of the event UTOPIA reserved us some surprises, all
the participants and artisans surmounted the stranger of the hole brilliantly and made(did)
of UTOPIA a real urban happening.
The utopia of our adventure tried to gather(reunite) free creative spirits in an exercise with
countercurrent aiming at interacting together in a full of sense unusual place to reveal its
potential by a collective religious community. Within the framework of a process spread
out over one year, the creators of Flour Orphan joined to more than about forty creators
multi-hétéro-clastiques to realize a new kind(genre) of urban capital(big top).

The young Mobile Montreal company Home and his(her) invited creators, in place of
residence to UTOPIA during all summer, went from a series of interventions and from
hybrid performances there which treated(manipulated) the present and absent elements,
thanks to the imagination combined(organized) by his(her) creators: Lucas Joly, height of
its equine vision, steered us through undergrowth of the operatic(lyric) creation and trash;
Steeve Dumais, alive expression of the sweetness of a grandma - giraffe, transported us
in small rough and sinuous but completely studed roads; Gaëtan Desombres,
Extra-Térésa-pour-tous and cunning plastics technician who, under his stiff skullcap,
provoked us of its sneaky glance and its unchained(given rise to) dances; Corinne
Masiéro, big performeuse-baveuse-mais-volontaire, splashed our imagination of rusty
Cayenne pepper; unspeakable kamikazait Peter James the dust of places for the profit of
urbanotocs; Marie-France Garon, generous and engaged video director, activated the
vidéotronique experience(experiment) with the children while starchy food Patrice
St-Amour and Jean - François Desmarais lent himself voluntarily to the theatrical
"game("set").

The techno-astronomer Simon Robert, the lightning conductor of the hole, mastered the
pervading electricity to re-steer her(it) towards the human, technical and cosmic drivers of
the laboratory, while the dreamer Christophe Flambard, the " Lucky Luke " of the image,
went(took) up and defused(unsettled) synchronically our perception of the world faster than
our shadow. TV - utopistes-farineux Marie-France Bojanowski and Martin Pelletier,
électro-numeric(électro-digital) rays of light in the utopian night, used(wore out)
techno-spatial witchcrafts to create the experiences(experiments) of Télé-Utopia and the
imMédiateur, in narrow complicity with these first two partners.
The invétérable Jacques Vécérina, the magician of chiffriers électro-acoustics
decomposed brought the passengers of the Lounge in an introspective sound
experience(experiment), besides lent strong hand to the enfarinée sniggerer Annick
Nantel which, of his(its, her) supple(flexible) rigour, supported the project at the end of arm
and of figures all year round.

Phantasmagorical Mario Boivin, chief experimenter of his boiling sound laboratory in
Boiler Room, offered sound and vocal enlevantes performances in narrow report with the
inspiration found in the hole, together with his invited artists: Isabelle Rajotte and
his(its, her) intoxicating flown away operatic works(lyric poets), Jean - Paul Dahm the
multi-sound effects engineer, Louis Babin and his net trumpet and the indefatigable
guitarist waveriste Bertrand Lehouiller, as well as Ernest Cadet's spontaneous
interventions, Mackelly Présumé, Éric Forget and Katia.

Johanna Kotkowska, artist multitracks if he is there, lent his captivating voice(vote) to the
series of utopian messages heard(understood) here and there in the bottomless places.
The dreamlike and telluric texts which she proposed for the publication UTOPIA inspired
the different prints imagined by the poet - allumeur-graphique-enfariné Patrice St-Amour
who(which), of the magic mouse, sourissait the visual environment of the adventure
UTOPIA.

Sylvain Fortin, radiant sun of the summer UTOPIA, photographer - capteur-stimulateur of
experiments, feelings and exhibits, as well as Jean - François Desmarais, methodical
designer - scrutineer, enfariné first head in the dust of the hole, attracted(enticed) the eye
to the racoins which only the diligent to fouilleur could discover. Their accumulated
lyrico-playful works keep(guard) alive tracks found in the hole.

Laurent Quet, worn-out to colours and atmospheres made for Flour, sculptured tones in
the dark places and flirted with the energy of the present moment in the search(research)
for a timeless mood.

The video director - fouilleurs Yanie Dupont-Hébert and Danny Gauthier interrogated
acutely ###### discovered(found) in their silent trip, while the photographer Patric
Rimond on exposed(explained) realistically faces, textures and cracks of the hole in a
spiral in the exalting colours. They leave us, each in their way, suggestive, poetic and alive
testimonies of our route(course).
Pascale Galipeau, guide intense, attentive and enfarinée up to the neck, welcomed, with
his enthusiasm of boat, the passengers of our passenger ship, on the way towards the
unknown destinations of the urban lack of evidence.

Paul-Toc Lefebvre, ingenious scholar and philosopher deadpan type, scrutinized the
imagination of places and reported, by his hybrid installations and déraillantes
performances, the complexity and the wealth of the utopian subjects.

The architect - landscape painter Claude Cormier, plastic the designer of imagination on -
le-naturel, proposed his Rain of Meteorites, incongruity completed in the raw context of an
abandoned site.

The architects of the Workshop Big City, in association with the architect Sophie
Charlebois, took up a late challenge by proposing colours and saturated
électrico-geometrical forms which they imagined to illuminate at night UTOPIA, along the
rail.

Laurent Lavoie, philosophizes rallying point and early to use(wear out) utopian plans,
fusses to collect the free ideas at present in flotation in our companies(societies) to group
together(include) them in a monograph UTOPIA, to appear in September, 2000.

Éric Charbonneau, Francine Mangin, Peter Pavlou, Julien Boily, Pierre - Bernard Axelsen
and Tim Weng, increased by the institute ICARI and dynamic, creative and generous
infographes, digitized the utopia of the acceleration by propelling us in immaterial tunnels.

The video director - sociologist Marc Paradis proposed his analyses utopian as
permanent challenges thrown(launched) to the two designers and the organizers enfarinés
by the project, Pierre Gaudreault and Pierre - André Vézina, ruffled the hair but filled by
the propositions implanted by all the creators.

Dust with flour Orphan is also anxious to thank Éric Gingras's enlightening and reassuring
presence, quality of the support, the attentions and the gastrono-thematic creations of
Roch Landry, enthusiasm of Marc - André Globensky, effective professionalism at once of
Marie Sylvestre, rebel energy of the Ève-Marie and Catherine Nash, Pascale Paradis's
diligent collaboration, attentiveness and reliability of Johanne Williamson and Claire
Sylvain, Claude Pelletier's night-maid - humor, the ardent guard of the nights utopiennes
Christopher Bojanowski, Carole Frève, Cyclops abbacuse of the metal cocktail, as well
as the collaboration appreciated by Danielle Tremblay, Geneviève Nantel, Monique
Toupin, Thérèse Masse, Claude Larose, Dominique Cherhal, Gilles Dufour, Gary
Cormier, Daniel Frenet, Gabriel Falquet, Danielle Blain, Génaro De Pasquale and
his(its, her) friend DJ, Pierre Crowley, Gabriel Lescarbeau, Robert the projectionist and all
the others...
Besides the invited creators who breathed a vital égergie into the abandoned place,
UTOPIA benefited from a considerable support on behalf of people and of bodies of the
district which have to create, in their way, the sat(based) to make hold our capital(big top).

While sharing premises with the tribe Utopia, the local body Entered Libre Inc. - Zest
Faites de la Musique allowed the active participation of young people in learning: Jean -
Guillaume Gagnon, Ernest Cadet, Steeve Trottier, David Dafonseca, Ludovic Vigneau,
Hélène Loranger, Mackelly Présumé, Eric Forget and Jill Ménage lent themselves with a
creative enthusiasm to UTOPIA's exercise, under the attentive direction(management) of
Francis Mathieu, Alexandre Arpin and Jacques Gosselin and the good support of Annie
Vidal and Manon Cossette.

The body of promotion Tourism Hochelaga-Maisonneuve was also an ally of size by
supplying the expertise of professionals with communication and with technique of scene,
such as: Isabelle Abita, Rémi Maillard, Caroline Léonard, Marie - Caroline Bergouignan,
Jean-Francois Rousseau, Yannick Lemieux, Yannick Gamache, Stéphane Mailhot, while
offering a continual psychological support to the members of the team by the intervention
of Sylviane DiFolco and Hélène - Claire Émond.

Suzanne Beaulieu, of the Centre of rehabilitation Gabrielle Major, in association with
Geneviève Guilbault and Stéphane Cayer, undertook in the project UTOPIA by steering
the profitable artists Railcar Baron, Daniel Chin, François Ducas, Stéphane Fortin, Janis
Mailhot, Gianni Mastantuano and Diane St-Antoine in the production of an installation
iconoclastique and rafraîchissante of paintings and sculpture - shoes.

Raymond Viger and Marc Gendron, some Coffee(cafe) Graffiti, allowed the participation
of about fifteen young graffiti artists Montreal, fascinated and accustomed by the urban
holes, which invested(surrounded) with their own signature the internal walls of the jetty of
Watson and Foster.
Richard Aubry and Mario Labbé, of the Crossroads Youth CCSE, organized the
participation of numerous young people of the district to the various studios(workshops) of
creation offered by the Mobile company Home.

Roger Gallagher, voluntary patriarch of the SIDAC Promenade-Ontario, covered the urban
walkers of banners in UTOPIA's colours.

Finally, we would not know how to cross(spend) under silence supports from the very
beginning received by the musketeers gentlemen Pierre Larivière, of the Community arts
centre Maisonneuve and Paul Labonne, from the Workshop(studio) of History
Hochelaga-Maisonneuve which, down from the Castle, watched the announced
extraterrestrial invasion.

The other accomplices associated to local or Montreal bodies, as Jean Bergevin of the
Corporation of east Development, Jean-Jacques Bohémier du Collectif in Organization
Urbain, Laflèche Dompierre of Éco Quartier, Yvon Gagnon of the Internet Community
Centre The Avenue, Paul Leguerrier of the CLSC Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Jacynthe
Ouellette du Chic Resto Pop, Jean - François Leclerc of the Centre of History of Montreal
and René Binette of the Museum of man and the environment of the Proud World supplied
at the moment or the other one their supports, comments and expertises and contributed
to their way of making(doing) of UTOPIA an event rallying point for the community.

The UTOPIA project was also able to count on a stream of private supports which took the
shape of exchanges of services or direct financial participations.

In the foreground comes the support received by the owner of the building Watson and
Foster, Abie Perlmutter, the engaged(opened) patron and the cheerful witness of our
adventure, which welcomed free of charge UTOPIA in his(her) big empty and resonant
spaces.

Andrée Beaulieu-Greene and Philippe Cabana, of the Institute Icari, the centre of
education in numeric(digital) prints, made possible the participation of several students
increased in the realization of two videos and a collaboration activates during the duration
of the event.

Claude Brault, of the Circus of the Sun and The Press of the University Laval brought their
support for the project of publishing(edition) of the monograph UTOPIA, a collection of
contemporary texts on the theme of the utopia.

The other companies as Nap-Art Imprimeurs, Malo Électrique, the Bakery First Harvest,
the National Canadian, Solotech Multimédia Inc and Vidéotron Télécom Inc offered a
support in the form of sponsors and allowed the infringement of the budgetary objectives.
Although the collective Dusts with flour Orphan is in a sense a newcomer in the district
Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, he was also able to count from the beginning on the support of
the various governmental landings represented in the district.

The members of Flour Orphan and UTOPIA's team are appreciative to Madam Minister
Louise Harel, anticipatrice of the reach of the experimental arts, and to Madam Monique
Blanchet, tisonnière of the projects of the district, for their continuous support until the final
presentation of our event.

Réal Ménard, federal representative, spread(diffused) generously the utopian message
with the district while contributing in pursuit of ' UTOPIA. We are grateful to him(her) for it.

The continual support expressed by Richer Dompierre, councillor of Maisonneuve, by its
steps(methods) with the City of Montreal, allowed to make visible the action of the
collective in favour of the patrimonial industrial places.

Finally, the support of the last kilometre obtained from Madam Minister Agnès Maltese
was received as a draft of fresh(cool) air(sight) in the dusty and subterranean world of the
utopia.

Hardly of his(her) experience(experiment) of creative collaborations, the members of the
collective Dust with flour Orphan already dashed into the pursuit of research tracks
developed in UTOPIA. Of the lack of evidence of the utopia, we shall go towards
him(it,her) except time of the uchronie through our new project: UCHRONIA.
Interdisciplinarity, community, resuscitation of an urban hole, archaeological, metaphoric
and technological investigations will still be for the meeting UCHRONIA, to which you will
be invited in the year 2000.

THANKS TO the utopians for their support and commitment during the year UTOPIA and
our wishes moreover better for the new millennium which begins.

Dust with flour Orphan look Somewhere else Better

Pierre Gaudreault, Pierre - André Vézina, Marie-France Bojanowski, Martin Pelletier,
