Aus,

The nikon 950 is a nice camera. It was my 3rd and I liked it even more than my 4th, a canon S20. The weakness there is the flash, and despite all the reviews about barrel distortion, it never bothered me.

The biggest weaknesses are : (1) flash is too weak, (2) the constant whirring of the auto-focus lens.

The picture quality is very accurate as far as color is concerned. The 1600x1200 pictures from a CF/CD are perfect to run on slideshows on my dell notebook with the 15" 1600x1200 display.

On the CF modules themselves. I'm wondering if having too high a market penetration is a mixed blessing. If the flash modules become ubiquitous, they can be thought of the same way as floppy disks, where there is no brand loyalty at all...

This means that sndk's original advantage as being THE name in flash modules may have been weakened. Perhaps, if there is any possible area of research that may help, faster flash modules capable of taking m-jpeg or faster turnaround time for higher res stills might be able to generate a higher premium.

A rating system for CF modules that indicates speed and minimal speed recommendations from camera manufacturers might help.
