We have repeatedly asked SI about the "Hot" Lists and how they are calculated. Absent any response from them about this, I find it very interesting that the SI homepage hotlist is sponsored by a brokerage firm which has contracted agreements with a great many chat sites - notably, the thread of one site which is, strangely, seemingly always to be found at the top of that list, though right now 90% of that thread's posts are made by one individual. In fact, the past two days there have been 68 posts made on that thread. Of these, 61 posts, or fully 89.7% have been made by one poster. Now please see this:

pristine.com

The Executioner is a Terra Nova Trading affiliate.

Ads for the Executioner are displayed prominently on the Pristine homepage.

MarketGems is operated by Pristine.

The Market Gems thread is curiously displayed consistently at the very top of an SI "Hotlist."

The "Hotlist" is sponsored by none other than...Terra Nova.

How very interesting indeed. Would someone care to explain this business operation to the more naive among us?

Please also see the following thread:

Subject 50403

Of 259 posts made in its history, no less than 253, or 97.7% have been made by the same poster. Strangely enough, when you click-through to the site for which the thread is named, you find the following:

tradewindsonline.net

“Free level II…$5 trades.” Click that ad and we find:

mbtrading.com

“Click here to open a RealTick account with Terra Nova-MB”

Perhaps a pattern is beginning to emerge.

Sincerely,

Olivier L. F. Asser
