Neocon, I dont think that being extremely well qualified, and being an idealogue, are mutually exclusive. Scalia, and for that matter Bork, are brilliant, but I believe they are also idealogues. I think Tribe is a idealogue of the left. I don't think that it is likely that such folks will make it through the Senate now, just like Lani Guinier (sp) made it through the Senate when Clinton nominated her. I was aware that Tribe endorsed Olson. He is a better man than me. I wonder of Olson would have endorsed Tribe. Perhaps, but I bet not.
