<<My brother and his wife inherited a plumbing company. As you might imagine a pluming company (this was commercial) has a lot of inventory and thus subject to a high BOOK VALUE but that aint cash. Borrowing to pay the Estate taxes ruined the profitablity of the plumbing company.>> Same as farms. Lots of book value but the cash flow is low. Can't pay the nut on a loan so you sell out.
