No... No, Jeffords is entitled to any votes he received: IMHO, it's the responsibility of the voter to investigate the candidate (I like the idea of people accepting responsibility for their actions). If voters are stupid enough to vote just because there is a D or an R or an I after the candidate's name, then so be it (and I actually have a friend, a very smart woman, who does not follow campaigns or look at individual candidates: She just looks for the D and that's who she votes for). Although maybe Jeffords will teach people to look at the candidate, and not just the party affliliation.
