Windows embedded is the IBM PC Jr. of the industrial world.
Linux is mother shucking HUGE in this area. It cannot be stopped! It's a runaway train!
37 shucking percent of ALL SERVERS on the Internet run Linux! These are shuckingFACTS! If Linux were a bogus toy, it would not be running all this iron.
The site you are posting on right now, SILICON INVESTOR, do you know what it runs? Eh? ..... ready...? .... *linux* .. yep... that's right.
And while we are at it Let's Blow this "E-Commerce is failing" thing back to fuzzy stats hell where it belongs. I know one area of commerce that is now shucking COMPLETELY dominated by the Internet. It does, in CANADA, 22 shucking billion dollars worth of business a year!
Whole NEWSPAPERS like the Toronto Star are TOAST because their AD revenue is down by shucking 40%! This is entirely because of the Internet! In Toronto alone, in one commercial area, there is $500,000 worth of business done on the Internet every shucking day! Jobs? How much do you think that is worth in Canada? 20 billion? 30 billion? 40 billion? ALL INTERNET.
So we have these Newspaper stats blithely saying that there was 6 billion in e-commerce done in the last quarter in the United States.! And that is down by 19.6% since last quarter (Christmas season). Well, in only three areas of commerce alone, I can PROVE there was 10 billion, 45 million in business in CANADA alone in the last quarter - which was ALL Internet driven!
It would seem hard to fathom these meagre stats we are being fed about e-commerce!
AND, to all this you can add the entire CLASSIFIED Industry's losses to boot!
It would appear that the USA is a cultural backwater, and there is NOTHING going on on its INTERNET.
