First, I hope I get to live many more lives (not that I think it's likely).

Second, I would have had some respect for Jeffords' liberation if he'd changed parties, say, 7 months ago, or 7 years ago.

His timing shows me he's an opportunist, not someone who suddenly found liberation....his timing shows me that he could not make a name for himself based on his own works, so he took advantage of the split in the Senate to give himself the attention he never has had or had any hope of achieving.

But as I said before, I'm sure he's feeling proud, although I doubt his great grandchildren will feel his pride.
