RE: [No Big] News from the Conference Call

Here's a repost from TMFKeeler on the Motley Fool Board:

No big news from the conference call today. Mostly reiterations by KE of previous info. Here are the highlights:

1. 9 million Zip, Jaz, Ditto shipped
2. 15mm Zip drives available in 1-3 months
3. OEM(s) working on designing n.hand in now but no products until early 1998

To clarify #2 a bit, this is dependent on OEM needed design changes. Some OEM might be ready to go in July, others might need to wait till October. Hard for Iomega to predict now.

FWIW, VST (a laptop Zip co-brander/VAR) has a new shipping date of 8/1/97 (as listed on NECX web site).
