I think we are capable of developing safe nuclear power within the realm of economic viability. This is the sort of BS we must contend with when we bring nuclear into the picture... and this is a story from just today: kyw1060.com Nuclear Fuel Rods Missing The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is looking for two fuel rods missing from a closed Connecticut nuclear power plant. Workers are going through paperwork to determine whether the rods were transferred to nuclear storage sites or sent to a lab. The last reference to the rods was in a 1979 report. The plant has been closed since 1995.
