links removed. I have e-mail correspondence from SI Bob (Admin) confirming this.
Okay, you nailed me on a minor semantics violation.
Surely you knew what I meant.
But if you didn't, here it is: I do not believe you when you say "I have e-mail correspondence form SI Bob (Admin) confirming this.", where "this" apparently is "posts of yours have been edited to remove links".
Or, more simply: No, I have not told you that your posts have been edited. Your assertion is false.
I have posted some very strange coincidences which SI has yet to address. They raise grave concerns in my mind. SI silence on these matters is disturbing.
One man's "disturbing" is another man's "wise". I've been down that road before and know that if they adopt a stance other than silence, they're just going to be accused of lying.
As for the rest of your post, including the exchange between us over some posts of yours that were deleted, this was at a time that if I marked a dozen posts for deletion, they might or might not have been actually deleted. In some cases, it might appear they're not being deleted, but they finally disappear after a number of hours. This was due to an (IMO) appallingly bad indexing structure that I seriously doubt has been fixed even now. It had been implemented shortly before I was dealing with your posts, so it came as a surprise to me that the posts ended up deleted even when I'd unmarked them before the system had responded to my deletion request.
If memory serves, it was the first time I'd found out that not only did each deletion take from 1 minute to half an hour, depending on whether the post was minutes or days old, in addition to finding out that *sometimes* when the system acted like it wasn't going to delete a post, it just *might* later.
It was a major frustration for me.
Anyway, you were *demanding* undeletion of a post, and that just wasn't possible and I doubt that it is currently either. You took exception to the fact that a post that wasn't deleted was written in the middle of the night, but as I reminded you, I didn't write it in the middle of the night. You did.
Getting back to your assertion that I confirmed editing of a post of yours, I'm very curious to see this. My memory is not 100% reliable (it took a while to remember that we had but rarely used editing capabilities in the "old days"), but I don't think it's so unreliable that I'd tell you links you claimed to have posted were definitely removed by someone here. |
