The cause may be hopeless, Jorj, but I wish SI would clean up the stables. It stinks around here and a thorough cleansing is long overdue. When the professional touts came out of the closet, SI began its long decline. They trashed people, destroyed entire boards, and turned on each other in their quest for more, more, more. They still do.

In the beginning, people thought it didn't really matter because they were over "there" on their own threads, not on the "serious" threads. Unfortunately, their influence was not confined to a few threads as victims of their abuse sought refuge elsewhere, and followers imitated the tactics on unrelated threads. It didn't take long for it to be almost impossible to have a coherent discussion about any stock and thus the cry went up for "moderated boards," one more step down the road of intolerance and censorship.
