I see, that guy is talking about not just the "economic depression" but melt down of whole society. Let's not go too extreme... I am assuming no inflation during depression. If high inflation (like 200% every year) is expected then, gold should be part of your portfolio. I would BORROW huge amount at long term FIXED rate and buy gold.
