"Hope you've read what Golding had to say about his book." No, I didn't. I probably have to concede here that Golding had a message and symbolism for this book that he has explained and that has been examined by everybody for the last fifty years and I am out of that loop. Its context of the adolescent boys is what made the book great and that has been analysed as well. I am pretty sure that my observations on the theme have been confirmed as an extention on that analysis and perhaps one that wasn't intended by Golding. You haven't heard this before?
