Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the core that was dumped?

You and Dale completely lost me. Are you talking about x86-64 based core? I am not aware of anything being dumped. I don't see how it could have been scheduled for Q1 2001.

Here is the first reference I found, which says 2001, which I was later narrowed down to 2H 2001: news.cnet.com
So it looks like it will be a year late, which to me is not such a big deal for a new core on new SOI process.

What's alarming to me is the lateness of Palomino, which it seems will be 2 to 3 quarters late, for a limited set of changes / enhancements.
