OT Hi Paul, RE: "I cringe at every red light/intersection I come to. When the light turns green, I wait about 20 seconds "

I have seen about 6 car accidents by Netscape ever since they installed the new set of lights (that no one seems to see, so they fly right through them). That area and the other area is quite bad.

I even saw on several occasions the lights on all 4 sides of the same intersection become green at the same time by the new lights near Netscape, which resulted in a lot of car accidents I am sure. I saw folks go through from all directions, when this happened two times. The other times I saw this happen, it was just me, and I know enough to drive safely in that area - that area spooks me - to see 4 sides of the same intersection all have a green light at the same time is spooky. I must have called the city about this 3 or 4 times before they finally fixed it right (at least, I'm hoping it is finally fixed right!) There must be some type of software timing in new lights that are difficult to set.

The other bad thing about that intersection is the length of the intersection is so much longer than other intersections that cars need much longer time to even get through the lights before the other side turns green. So, even after they fixed the lights, it still isn't exactly the safest area because I think the lights are actually made for standard intersections, not ones that have unusually long intersections.

Regards,
Amy J
