That is true with the A6's, and somewhat w/ the 6 cylinder A4 Quattros, which is what I have, but where slight acceleration is lost on the A4 Quattro (believe it does 0 to 60 in about 8 seconds?), you gain so much more in handling... there isn't a turn in the world I can't take doing 45-50+ MPH (not that I ever do such a thing). I see that acceleration improved substantially in '98 for the A4: acceleration-online.com My next car will likely be a Lexus though... very well designed cars *and* an absolutely incredible drive... and hopefully a bolder, sportier look by then. The Audi A4 was the only other car that drove as nice though... with the exception of the 6 cylinder Toyota Camry... so my wife bought that one.
