Can you post in small cap, it is easier to read.

Regarding your question, I can say that this portfolio will likely recover a lot of previous losses if gold moves back up to $400. But there is no guarantee. Simply said gold stocks are very speculative and nobody can say when gold will be at $400. Gold could even go sub-$200 before rallying and some of these stocks could go under. In other words, I think that you should approach the situation in a different way.

Forget the past. Let assume your sister-in-law, sells all these stocks right now and takes a new look at her financial situation. The question is would she invest/speculate with part or all of this money in gold stocks. That is the first question you must answer.
