I followed the Sobran controversy. I thought Buckley was pretty mild in chiding Sobran, and if Sobran had not been thin- skinned, it would have been resolved amicably. Joe has a lot going for him, but he is pugnacious and sometimes offensive in his racial/ethnic insinuations. As criticism mounted, he only got a chip on his shoulder, and became more provocative...... I can't recall the particulars of the Rothbard obit, although I am sure that I read it......
