Jeffords being a good man has nothing to do with your question. You were suggesting some sort of conspiracy and from that and some of your other posts, I conclude you're the type of guy who see's a gunman on every grassy knoll, a commie under every rock, and a Clinton rape victim in every motel room.

re: Jeffords.....I am enjoying the result of his switch tremendously regardless of the reason which I suspect is simply political self preservation....all politicians love their jobs and will do most anything (including switching parties) to keep them. I don't recall such a huge reaction however when Strom Thurmund, Phil Gramm, and Shelby switched to the connie side.
