("Moneta"), announces additional drill results from the 1997 diamond drilling program on the Michaud Properties in which Barrick Gold Corp. ("Barrick") is earning 60 percent-70 percent interest by spending $6.5 million. /T/ Highlights for May and additional assay results from April include: Hole Depth(m) Au(g/t) Length(m) 209 108 3.2 4.3 212 281 11.6 2.0 214 109 13.9 0.6 214B 108 9.7 0.7 216 432 4.1 3.2 220 170 3.7 3.2 222 187 8.6 0.5 /T/ Drilling in May concentrated between 140m and 350m of depth. Six holes were drilled in the Central Block and one in the West Block for 414m. The best assay in the West Block was 3.74 g/t over 3.2m. Additional assays were received from April drilling. Additional drilling in April and May was designed to define the new oriented zones located in mid-program to the 400m depth. Total field expenditures in the 1997 diamond drilling program exceed $2 million for 22,270m in 44 holes. Approximately 63 percent of the drilling has been on the northern portion (Moneta 40 percent).
