Hi DJ,

<<>>It may be over for the Japanese<< Huh?!>>

I wanted to stir up some controversy, and here we are;0)

Hey, Ho, let’s Go.

<<Koizumi is serious about breaking the back of LDP system and enjoys popularity rating of 90%. … His friends (and himself as well) are known for "Japan first" kind of stand >>

I agree that he is serious about presenting a new face for reform, and a presenting a form representing reform.

Reform he will not do, as he is beholden to a system for Japan that even pre-dates the current system. He wants to arm Japan. He wants to say no to the world. He is supported, as Hitler was supported, as people got more despondent.

<<Not to mention Kuriles.>>

All of Asia, ex-Japan, would love to see Japan try to collect the Kuriles from the Russians. We will all just watch and cheer.

Even if Japan succeeds in reforming, which they may, it may still be all over for them, but first, on Westpacifics’s points …

Chugs, Jay

See post to Westpacific and Joel ...
