because some people can't stand the heat so instead of leaving the kitchen, they turn off the heat. Additionally, I think it is fairly obvious the porch is a very......how do I say......shallow place to be. You either agree with what the hierarchy says, or you are shown the door. I think the most telling aspect of things is not how many people have been banned, but how many good and decent people do not post there anymore......lots and lots of good folks have seen the porch for what it is, and have voluntarily decided not to post there, much, if at all. heck Jim, you yourself even said on more then one occassion that following the porch advice is an ill advised move.....but forget about me...stop and ask yourself why there are so many empty chairs....chairs left empty voluntarily, by very astute and very nice people.
Did I learn anything on the porch, you ask ??...yep, alot more then I bargained for, and frankly, they were all mostly bad lessons......this is exactly why you dont see me fighting to get "unbanned". In fact, I sent Uncle Frank a letter immediaty upon being banned, that I have no desire to be "unbanned", as I felt the porch, which used to be a special place is now a shell of it's former self. It is a biased arena where the membership dwindles daily. Good people leaving on their own, tells me all I need to know....there are still some good people that post on the porch, but just a few.....most of the folks that were decent, saw the light, packed their bags and hit the road....that in itself should tell you an awful lot.....
